Booking Terms and Conditions

The Lodge, Hurstpierpoint

 

If The Lodge is booked through an agent, they will take the deposit and balance. Their cancellation terms will apply.

 

If a provisional booking is made with us, it will be held for 3 days from the initial enquiry date, and confirmed only upon receipt of the signed booking form and a non-refundable deposit of third of the total cost of the period to be booked.

 

The lodge is let for the specified period agreed and paid for by the guest. And, that no right to remain in The Lodge exists for the guest or anyone in the party beyond the hired period.

  • Deposit and Balance payments can be made by bank transfer or Paypal. The booking is only confirmed and secured when the deposit has been received.

  • The balance to be paid in full 6 weeks prior to arrival.

  • Arrival is anytime from 4pm on the day of arrival. The Lodge must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Unless a prior arrangement has been made.

  • The keys to the Lodge to be placed back in the key safe, having locked and secured the lodge and the gate.

  • If the holiday period is booked in less than 6 weeks before the arrival date, then the full amount will be payable at the time of the booking.

  • When the booking is confirmed, the hirer will be liable for the whole amount of the balance of the cost of the holiday. This will be payable 6 weeks before the date of arrival.

Cancellation Policy

We the Owners must be notified immediately of any cancellation.If the cancellation occurs within the 6 weeks prior to the date of arrival, and full payment has been made, we the Owners will endeavor to re-let the time booked and if we have successfully re-let the period, will refund the balance of the cost, minus the non-refundable deposit.

If the cancellation is made 14 days or less before the date the holiday is due to start, then no monies will be refunded.

It is strongly recommended that holiday insurance, to cover all risks, including cancellation, should be taken out by the hirer.

 

  •  Guests must not sub-let the property, or use it otherwise than for the purpose of a holiday. Persons signing this booking form enter into a contract with us the owners for the period of their stay.

 

  • The guest(s) is responsible for the safe keeping of the lodge, and the furniture and fittings during the period booked. Any breakages or damage to, the contents or the structure of the building must be promptly reported to us, the owners. We will be entitled to recover from the guest(s) the cost of any repair or replacement needed.

  • In extreme circumstances, we, the owners, have the right and may ask you to leave the property, with immediate effect, if damage or nuisance is being or has been caused.  Or if we suspect that the guests are smoking or Vaping in The Lodge or on the Terrace.

  • No items belonging to the lodge are to be taken away or removed at any time.

  • The lodge must be left clean and tidy. All rubbish to be placed in the bins provided in the front of the Cottage.  All furniture returned to the place in which it was placed on arrival.

  • PLEASE NOTE:  In extreme circumstances, if the lodge is left in a very poor state, there will be an extra charge of £100 for additional cleaning costs.

  • We the owners, reserve the right to reasonable access to the lodge at all times.

  • No candles are permitted in the lodge. No smoking or Vaping is permitted in or on the premises. No fireworks, No pets, No loud music or No parties.

  • At no time during the permitted use of the lodge may it be occupied overnight by anyone not named on the booking form.

  • We the owners do not accept any liability for injury to persons, or damage or loss, of personal belongings whilst staying in The Lodge.

We do not accept any liability for your car whilst parked on our forecourt, also no liability will we accepted for the loss of any of the cars contents.
